Q&A Instructions
A glitch, after clicking on New Topic link below, you will the same Q&A and Difference blocks. Look below Diff block to see "Questions for Members and Yes/No persons" header and the "New Topic" button.

1. Copy-n-paste what your question is about from the Member's forum, someones Yes/No forum, or any Member Q&A Dialogue.

2. Then click this link: hit New Topic button and paste your copy in the New Topic box. Remember "new topic" box is below.

3. Put members nicl-(x) number, e.g. nicl-1 or Yes/No persons name in Subject rectangle followed by the subject of question. For a long question, add more at top of Topic box.

4. Remember, an "I agree" or a "this is my last response" ends your part in the dialogue, and the other person gets the last word.

Finally, read and reread the Q&A procedures. They are meant to treat both sides of a Dialogue impartially.

Difference in Forums

1. In the "open to all who register" Community Forums you do not have to answer questions, you can use an anonymous handle, start any topic, respond or not respond as you please.

2. In the Questions for Members forums you have to also register as a member and accept the Member agreements to answer questions from anyone about what you put in your Member Forum.

3.In Yes/No forums, you have to agree to answer questions from anyone about your specific Yes/No only.

4. To be notified of replies in Community Forums check "watch this topic" below topic entry box.

PostPost subject: BP has deliberately chosen not to measure well flow

BP has deliberately chosen not to measure well flow. That is criminal since the intake is eroding wider open. The volume increases directly with the square of the radius of the intake. It started at 7", the volume doubles at just under 10".

Driving this abrasion is the cyclonic whirlpool that must form at the intake as 70,000 psi drives the oil and liquid natural gas into the intake faster and faster as the intake diameter erodes wider.

The field will certainly unzip on us like the Yellowstone Caldera and cause among other things a massive firestorm when the natural gas ignites, probably by lightening. The only question is how soon the field will explode to the surface .

BP thinks not measuring exempts them from Liability. How dumb, it is on its face a monstrous crime.

See Washington Post May 14, 2010
5,000 or 26,000 Barrels a day: Size of gulf oil spill is a guesstimate: Quote from article,

'BP, however, could try to measure the flow directly with off-the-shelf instruments routinely used in research on deep-sea hydrothermal vents and cold hydrocarbon seeps, according to scientists at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution. They said devices that can essentially take a sonogram of the plume could be strapped to one of the robotic submarines that BP has deployed around the damaged well.

"You can use this type of technique to determine the velocity of the particles, and if you know what the area is, it's relatively straightforward mathematics to determine what the volume is," said Andy Bowen, director of the National Deep Submergence Facility at Woods Hole.

BP representatives have spoken extensively with Woods Hole scientists about using scientific instruments to measure the flow. But a BP spokesman, David Nicholas, said the company has decided to focus on stopping the leak rather than measuring it. "I don't think an estimate of the flow rate would change either the direction or the scale of our response to it," Nicholas said.'

Only a very stupid lawyer could think that not doing a simple obvious easy to do measurement as a necessary precaution would exempt BP and its executives from being charged with a deliberate crime that murdered millions or more.

Wake up my fellow citizens, Earth is very much at stake and the lives of most if not all of us. This field is 50 by 100 by God knows how many miles deep and that is a low ball estimate.

We must plug this well quickly and never let these greedy fools drill below the crust again.
